Road Tennis STEM/STEAM is a Science, Technology, Engineering, Athletic/Artistic, Mathematics educational curriculum developed from our original physical educational program. RT STEM/STEAM was formulated from the sport of Road Tennis and meets national standards. Road Tennis is a racket sport with it’s origin from the country of Barbados.

RT STEM/STEAM is one of the most comprehensive, applicable, and effective STEM/STEAM curriculum. It’s focus is geared towards architecture, design, engineering, with emphasis on mathematics and Science, with a bonus in body mechanics. RT STEM/STEAM covers the basics of measurements via tools such as a ruler, protractors, and a compass. Determining screw sizes and measurements, determining gauge as it relates to nails, screws, metal pieces.

RT STEM/STEAM taps into traction, probability, metric systems, multiplication tables, geometric, algebraic, and speed formulas.

RT STEM/STEAM covers the design process through Art, as well as scientific method to determine assembly, functionality, and portability. In addition, RT STEM/STEAM utilizes imagination of artistic design for the equipment, through different choices of mediums.

RT STEM/STEAM Challenges the students:

Individuality, Accountability, Precision, Application, Creativity, Tool Management, Self thinking, Hand Eye Coordination, Conception, Social Emotional Learning, Partnership, Delegating, Wood Working, Research Methods, Team Work, Trail and Error Testing, and Project Management.

RT STEM/STEAM will also develop athletes through fitness. Fitness is a major component in mental development. “As long as you are fit, your mind will work 100%”.

The International Road Tennis Society’s Road Tennis STEM/STEAM Program facilitates 30 students and comes with RT STEM/STEAM Workbook, Online Instructions and all the equipment necessary to implement the Project.
